We generally cannot see, recover, correct, or delete information that never left your device. Use the controls below before uninstalling the app, clearing browser data, or replacing a device.
Review, export, or remove device data
Open the applicable Defender Ready section to review or change household, inventory, pantry, go-bag, route, communications, map, reference, and preference records saved on that device.
Use Device Data Controls to create an encrypted Defender Ready JSON backup before clearing or moving a plan. Keep its passphrase separately; Defender Outfitters cannot recover it.
Use Delete All Device Data where available. This removes recognized Defender Ready records from the current app or browser profile after confirmation.
You can clear defenderoutfitters.com site data in the browser or clear/uninstall the installed app. This may also remove personal PDFs, saved maps, cached catalog information, and information that was not included in an export.
Ordinary local records rely on the device, app sandbox, browser profile, screen lock, and operating-system protections. They are not separately encrypted by Defender Ready. Avoid adding information that would create unnecessary risk if someone accessed an unlocked device.
Location, camera, and device permissions
- Location: deny the prompt or revoke permission in browser or app settings. Non-location planning remains available. Previously cached location context can be removed with Defender Ready device data.
- Camera: deny or revoke permission if you do not want barcode scanning or Android torch control. Enter UPC/EAN values manually instead.
- Vibration and sound: leave the alert-signal options off or stop them from the visible on-screen control.
- Personal PDFs and files: remove imported documents from the Reference Library or clear the app/site data. Personal PDFs are not included in Ready Sync.
Operating-system menus vary by device. Look for Defender Ready under Apps, Permissions, Notifications, Storage, or Site Settings.
Closed-app alert notifications
Closed-app alerts remain off until you enable them in a supported installed version. You may choose the supported alert area and whether the threshold is Extreme only or Severe and Extreme.
- Turn the Defender Ready closed-app alert switch off to delete or disable the applicable server subscription.
- Revoke notification permission in device settings to stop the operating system from displaying notifications.
- Refresh location before enabling alerts for a different official National Weather Service zone.
These alerts are supplemental and can be delayed or unavailable. They never replace Wireless Emergency Alerts, weather radio, 911, local authorities, or direct observation of conditions.
Encrypted Ready Sync
If Ready Sync is offered and you enable it, use its controls for two different choices:
Removes the Sync ID and recovery key from the current device while preserving its local plan. The encrypted cloud copy and other paired devices remain.
Permanently removes the server vault and disconnects the current device. Local records remain unless you delete them separately.
Defender Outfitters cannot decrypt the cloud copy or recover a lost recovery key. Anyone with both pairing values may be able to access the synchronized plan, so do not email them to support.
Orders, requests, feedback, and support records
Request List, optic-fit verification, and FFL transfer request records in the website database are automatically deleted 30 days after staff marks them Closed. Reopening a request cancels that countdown. The original request emails remain in the authorized store mailbox as the persistent correspondence record. A permanent deletion log retains only the request reference, type, close and deletion dates, reason, and counts of related records removed; it does not retain customer contact information, notes, dealer information, or requested product details.
Email support@defenderoutfitters.com to request access, correction, or deletion of identifiable information you submitted through a Request List, optic-fit verification request, FFL transfer request, physical order, website feedback, or support contact. Include enough information to locate the record, such as the email used, approximate date, and order or request reference. Do not send full card details, medical records, passwords, or recovery keys.
We may need to verify the request and may retain transaction, fulfillment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, refund, or legal records when permitted or required. Anonymous feedback may not be identifiable as yours.
